WHO AM I?

Hi,
My name is Erik, and my camera has been my most faithful friend for the past 10 years. I love capturing people’s lives. I love stories, and I want to tell stories too. Moments, smiles, glances, laughter or tears, emotions. I want to be there—sometimes unseen, documenting everything around me, and other times right in front of you, to make sure that beyond the emotions, on the most important day of your life, you also look like a magazine model. I like to believe I have the power to freeze time. And that makes me happy. So, if you want your event to become a timeless capsule, preserving all its feelings for eternity, I’m looking forward to talking about how we can tell your story too—and turn it into art.

Frequently asked questions

What should I take into account when choosing a photographer?

For some clients, the most important criterion—or in some cases, the only one—is price. I believe this should not be the sole criterion; there are several other elements to take into account. When a client is interested in a photographer’s services, they should make sure that the photographer’s portfolio is of high quality and that their photographic approach aligns with the client’s preferences. For example, if a client wants photos in a Film Look style, they should look for photographers who work in that style. Reviews and opinions from other clients are important aspects, as they reflect the photographer’s seriousness and professionalism. The client can contact the photographer and express their wishes and expectations. If the dialogue is constructive and the client and photographer are on the same page, the collaboration will be successful. Personally, I recommend that couples invest in an experienced photographer with positive reviews, a clean portfolio, and whose work they identify with, even if the fee is higher. You are not paying only for a service; you are also paying for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, which can become far more costly if the photographer is not chosen with the above aspects in mind.

Wedding preparations taking place in the same location or in different locations?

First of all, I believe that the most important thing is for the couple to choose the option they feel most comfortable with—one they truly want and that represents them. From the perspective of a photographer who is there with the couple from the very first moments of the wedding until the end of the event, I recommend having the preparations take place in the same location, as this offers several advantages. Time is saved, and the photo-video team does not need to travel from one place to another (often over a considerable distance), allowing the saved time to be used to create more creative shots. With the rush eliminated, the couple is more relaxed and can truly enjoy their big day. This option also removes the need for renovations or adjustments to the parents’ house or apartment in order to prepare it for the couple’s preparations. For this option, two hotel rooms can be rented, or an apartment through Airbnb.

How important is the client-photographer relationship?

The relationship with the client is extremely important and forms the foundation of the entire collaboration. As a photographer, I fully dedicate myself to delivering exactly what the client wants, taking into account my experience, my knowledge, my photographic eye, and the rhythm of the event. I always recommend open communication between the client and the photographer in advance, from the very first contact through to the delivery of the final materials, as well as a meeting—possibly a Save the Date photo session—for familiarization. All these elements, coming from both sides, lead to a successful collaboration and a unique experience with the chosen photographer.
